City Issues Damen Silos Demolition Permits
The City of Chicago issued demolition permits for the Damen Silos on July 3, 2025, but we're not done advocating for community assets on this site.

Public Meeting and Petition re Damen Silos Demolition
The city is moving on the permit application to demolish Damen Silos. A public meeting will be held on Friday, June 27th, 6PM at Arturo Velasquez Westside Technical Institute.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has issued its permit for demolition of the Damen Silos, but no action can be taken without a city permit.
